Exploring the Digital Civilization

Aims of the #CICD

The purpose of the #CICD is to challenge creative minds to explore the emerging trends that are moving us all towards the digital civilisation. Our aim is to encourage these minds to open up to new ideas and to find meaningful ways of applying them in our everyday lives and professional activities.

The thematic areas specifically aim (among other things) to analyse the changing relationship which exists between citizens and those who govern, and to reflect on the opportunities offered by the opening up of public data.

In the thematic area entitled Education 2.0, we will examine the role of all stakeholders, from students to teachers, exploring the different ways in which they use technology. A series of best practices will be presented and examples will be shown of how best to make use of these new tools to foster learning and enhance productivity and efficiency.

Another important area for the #CICD is Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship. The aim is to change the way we see mistakes in order to create a culture of learning from failure which will enable us to see setbacks not as something to be hidden or punished, but rather as just another step towards success. And above all, the principal objective is to promote entrepreneurial projects, bringing together business ideas and potential investors.

Within the field of Business and Competitiveness, the #CICD aims to study new consumer behaviour patterns and explore the possibilities offered by new trends, dynamics and ICT tools that can be applied to the business world. The event also seeks to offer key insights into the digital transformation of companies.

Culture is another key area in the #CICD. The aim is to analyse the challenges facing the music and audiovisual industries. The creation, distribution and financing of products will be analysed in depth, along with the new relationships currently being established between consumers and products.

All of this will be approached from the cross-cutting perspective of the Social Media – a phenomenon that is so basic to our modern world.  The aim here is to disseminate knowledge about the latest trends and discoveries regarding community dynamics, the art of influencing people and citizen mobilisation.
