David Cabo
Patron of Fundación Ciudadana Civio and creator of dondevanmisimpuestos.es and tuderechoasaber.es

David Cabo is one of the founders of the Civio Foundation, whichpromotes an engaged citizenry through transparency and data openness.Among his projects are dondevanmisimpuestos.es, a web for visualizing the annual budgets from Spanish public administrations, and - togetherwith Access Info Europe - tuderechoasaber.es, an access to information site for Spain funded by more than 150 small donors using the crowdfunding platform Goteo. He worked for Access Info Europe and mySociety in the launch of the european transparency site AsktheEU.org.

David Cabo is vice-president of Pro Bono Publico, an Spanish associationorganizing the biggest Open Data hackathon in the country, AbreDatos; has launched the transparency initiative #adoptaundiputado (Adopt an MP) to crowdsource the parsing of Spanish parliamentarians' financial disclosure reports; and has collaborated with investigative reporters in the extraction and analysis of public records (Looting the Seas, ICIJ). 

M.Sc. in Software Engineering, and B.Sc. in Psychology, before focusingon Open Data and transparency David had extensive technicalexperience as senior developer, consultant and software architect inprojects at British Telecom, HM Revenues & Customs, Accenture,Ericsson or BBVA Global Markets.
